Last summer Caden had so much fun with this Shaving Cream Car Wash, that I just had to share it! Now this isn’t my original idea, and I can’t remember where I read about this activity, but the outcome of this activity is completely Caden’s own.
To create this car wash, you will need a water table or a bin that will hold water, shaving cream, and some small toy cars. Fill your water table or bin with some water, then squirt a whole lot of shaving cream into the water. Give your child some cars and let them wash the cars in the shaving cream.
Caden was a bit timid about this sensory activity at first, as he is with most slippery, slimy activities, but he quickly got into it, and by into I mean literally!
This was a fun activity, that quickly went from car wash to Caden wash. Caden really got into the shaving cream and began to spread it all over his face and hair. It was really quite comical!
And even though he was making a big mess, I stayed cool,
and just kept snapping pictures with my iPhone!
It’s only shaving cream after all!
I was a little worried about it getting into his eyes, or irritating his sensitive skin, so please be careful if you do this activity with your own kids.
Caden didn’t seem too bothered by all the shaving cream!
And when he was finished exploring the shaving cream, we headed inside and straight into the bath, cars and all!
This is a great activity to do on a hot afternoon!
And with the bath it will take you all the way to dinner time!

Your kid looks so exited =) Awesome activity! Sometimes we add food color to shaving creams and our kids draw with it.
