Cozy Coupe Car Wash

CoupeWashCollage

I can’t wait for the hot weather to come so we can play outside in the water! But for now I will have to be satisfied with sharing another activity from last summer! Caden was around 18 months and we had so much fun doing car themed activities! First we did the Shaving Cream Car Wash and it was such a hit that I planned a Cozy Coupe Car Wash for the next day! This car wash is by no means an original idea, I’ve seen a couple of bloggers write about their fun experiences with this activity. No Time for Flash Cards did a Color & Clean Car Wash Play for Toddlers last summer with her daughter.

This is a really simple activity but tons of fun! All you need is a car, a bucket of soapy water and a sponge. Then let your toddler loose and watch how much fun they have! Don’t worry about the mess, it’s only soap and water after all! And you are outside!

Caden enjoys anything water related so he really got into this activity, just like with the Shaving Cream Car Wash! It started out very tame. He suds’d up the sponge and wiped down his car.

As you can see, he had already soaked his clothes, and got soap all over his face and hair!

Then he really got into it! Splashing in the bucket!

And then he discovered the puddle that formed on the paver from the hose! He started stomping around, splashing water all over his legs! Then he SAT in the puddle!

But look at how much fun he is having! Totally soaked!

We ended the activity like this! Running happily around the yard, giggling with a bucket on his head!

Sometimes simple ideas are the best! Glad it is finally warming up outside, so we can set up a car wash!
