I’ve been wanted to make a light box for Caden for some time now, and last night I finally got all the needed supplies. I had almost everything in the house, but I did borrow some white lights from Grandma. The only thing I needed to buy was parchment paper. It was pretty easy to put together. I used this method from Little Pnuts. The only tip I have in making your own light box is to use clear shipping tape when you tape down the parchment paper. Regular scotch tape didn’t stick well to the waxy parchment paper.
Caden was intrigued by the light box, and is really curious about what is inside the box. He keeps trying to take the lid off and unplugging the lights. So if you have a curious child, you might want to include them in the building process that way when it they are hopefully more interested in exploring the light and colors instead of trying to open the box.
Now that I have the light box I am looking for creative ways to play with it. If you have any neat ideas, please share! And I started a new board on Pinterest to collect ideas. So be sure to check out my Light Box Fun! board.
