As part of our Halloween unit, I create a sensory bin for Caden to explore. But I put a little twist to it and used a Jack-o-Lantern bucket for the bin.
Inside the bucket I included various sensory elements. The majority of the bin consisted of puff balls in varying sizes and color that I picked up at craft stores.
I also included other Halloween themed trinkets. Such as felt spiders, spider cupcake toppers, felt pumpkin stickers and glow in the dark bats.
I also included a cute little jack-o-lantern rubber duck and jack-o-lantern sunglasses. I thought theses elements were fun and different and Caden really liked them!
Caden and I played different games with the sensory bin. We sorted the pom-poms by size. You can also sort them by color.
We also counted the spiders in the bin. You could also hide the spiders and hunt for them.
Overall this is a really simple sensory bin, that lends itself well to different activities.

What a cute way to make a bin! I wouldn’t have thought to use something other then a plain box!
