I was recently on the hunt for new sippy cups for Caden and wanted to go with something more eco-friendly and non-toxic! I thought about using mason jars, but my husband was worried about them breaking. When I saw an ad on Instagram about JarJackets, I jumped on the chance to review them!
All about JarJackets
JarJackets was started by a mom looking for a simple, non-toxic alternative to plastic sippy cups. JarJackets Sippy are silicone sleeves designed to fit the 12 oz. glass mason jelly jars. These silicone sleeves help little hands better grip the cup and protect the glass jars from breaking if they are dropped. The JarJacket Sippy cup comes with a silicone sippy lid that helps prevent drips and spills. It comes in three bright colors and a cool star design!
The best things about JarJackets Sippy cups is the simple design, affordability, and practicality. No more trying to match up the lids and cups or looking for stopper inserts! JarJackets finally makes it easy to get your children a drink! Plus the silicone sleeves, lids and glass jars are non-toxic and eco-friendly! No more worrying about what toxic plastic sippy cups will do to our children or the environment down the road.
JarJackets Sippy cups are also easy to clean, just put them in the dishwasher, silicone sleeve, lid and all!
My Review of JarJackets Sippy Cups
Sacha the owner and founder of JarJackets personally sent us three JarJackets sleeves, sippy lids and mason jelly jars to try this new product and review it. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
When we first opened the package, we were really excited to try some new, non-toxic cups! My son loved the bright colors of the sleeves and the “cool” star design. I also loved the colors and the silicone sippy lid. The whole sippy lid if made of non-toxic silicone!
After running the cups and lids through the dishwasher, we started using them right away! We’ve used about one JarJackets sippy cup a day and we really like them! I like how we can use them with or without the sippy lid, but the lid comes in handy to prevent spills in the living room or while traveling.
The sippy lid isn’t fool-proof, you still might get some minor leaking especially if you don’t get the lid on just right or if you child sucks on the sippy lid too hard causing the lip of the lid to move out-of-place. But the sippy lid definitely will prevent any major spills.
I also like having the silicone sleeve on the mason jar, especially for a child’s cup, it gives me some peace of mind knowing that if the cup was dropped, the glass jar has some protection. And if the glass jar was to break, the silicone sleeve should contain the broken glass from flying everywhere.
Overall we are really pleased with the JarJackets Sippy cups and plan to continue using them! JarJackets also has other sleeves and lids for larger mason jars that I am excited to try out! Use my referral link to check them out!
