Ladybug Math Grid Game

This week I’m sharing the first in a series of free printable Spring themed math grid games! Math grid games are a super easy way for young preschoolers to work on early math skills such as counting and one-to-one correspondence. This Ladybug Math Grid Game is sure to delight any child interested in insects!

Ladybug Math Grid Game

Supplies:

• Leaf Grid Printable
• Ladybug Mini Erasers 
• Construction Paper
• Glue Stick
• Scissors
• Laminator (optional)

I used Picmonkey.com to design this free printable game, so all you need to do is print it off! You can print off as many as you need for your homeschool or classroom! I just ask that you send any friends to this link instead of sharing your download please.

How to Make the Game:

Once you have printed off your game boards, cut off the excess white page and glue on some cardstock backing to make it more sturdy. Then laminate them for a fun game you can play year after year! Trim off the excess lamination sheets and they are ready for play! 

How to Play the Game:

To play this game is very simple for toddlers and preschoolers! Players take turns rolling the die (we use a 3-dot die) and placing that many coins on the grid game board. The first player to fill all the squares on their grid  is the winner!

This game is perfect for toddlers and preschoolers learning to count to three and for practicing one-to-one correspondence! You can also use this leaf grid game with other bug counters or pipe cleaners cut into small caterpillars!
