How to Set up:

This fine motor activity is very quick and easy to set up. All you need to do is gather a bunch of Minecraft mini figures and a few containers of play dough or a good amount of homemade playdough. Then take each mini figure and wrap them up into a ball of dough. Set all the playdough balls on a tray and invite your child to discover what is inside the balls!

Digging through play dough searching for Minecraft mini figures is a fun, sensory way for kids to work on fine motor skills! My son thought this was a fun activity and really enjoyed searching through all the balls of play dough to find his favorite Minecraft characters!

Minecraft Mini Figure Extension Activities

There are a number of ways to incorporate more learning into this simple play dough activity. Use different colors of play dough to encourage preschoolers to review colors. Another idea is to have your child match the Minecraft mini figure names to the letters their names start with like we did for this playdough activity!
