Welcome to the Hands-On Play Party! Each week my co-hosts and I will share our ideas for a fun, hands-on activity! This is also a linky party for any hands-on learning activities for kids of all ages! So be sure to check out all the great links shared at the end of this post! If you are a blogger I invite you to share any ideas you have for sensory play, early learning play, gross and fine motor skills play, and indoor/outdoor play that is presented in a hands-on way!
Last week was a wash out, it was cool, rainy and so not summery all week. We didn’t really do anything fun or creative. We all have weeks like that, right? But I did pick up some wooden toys by Craft Project Ideas at Wal-Mart for Caden to paint that he had asked for, and he really enjoyed this simple rainy day art activity.
This activity was really simple to set up. First I taped some newspaper down on the table with some painters tape for easy clean up. Then, I grabbed the apron, paint brush and little pots of acrylic paint given to us by Craft Project Ideas from our homeschool/craft closet right there in our dining area (I’ll tell you all about that soon in another post) and let Caden get creative on that rainy afternoon.
