Supplies Needed for LEGO Suitcase Hack

To hack your own LEGO® suitcase is really simple, takes only a few minutes and is actually temporary! If you choose, these additional LEGO® baseplates can be removed. You’ll just need these few supplies:

  • LEGO® Juniors Suitcase
  • 2 small LEGO® baseplates (about 5″x5″)
  • Glue Dots

How to Hack the LEGO Suitcase

This hack is really so simple! I put this together right before we left for a family vacation with a twelve-hour road trip! All I did was stick a glue dot in the four corners of the square LEGO® baseplates and pressed them on to the LEGO® Suitcase.

These glue dots are really sticky and the base plates did not budge at all during vacation! My son loved building with LEGO® in the car and while on vacation! These base plates were a really great addition to the LEGO® suitcase!

As I said earlier, this addition to the LEGO® suitcase can be temporary. If you choose to remove them, carefully pop the base plates off. Since the glue dots are very sticky, you might need to pry the base plates off with a butter knife or something. You might also want to use some Goo Gone to remove the excess adhesive left from the glue dots.

Don’t forget to print off some of these great Challenge Cards with fun building ideas from Lalymom! They are a great addition to your LEGO® Suitcase!

These small LEGO base plates are probably vintage. You might be able to find some on ebay.

You can always get the regular sized baseplates and cut them to size with an exacto knife
